Terms of Service

1.1. CIE Buddy is a service offered by StudyPal, providing tools and resources to assist students studying the CAIE curriculum.

1.2. Our services include study planning, AI-powered question-solving, past paper explanations, flashcards, and other educational tools (collectively referred to as "the Services").

1.3. CIE Buddy offers both free and paid services accessible through the Platform. Paid services are offered under a single-payment, non-recurring subscription model valid for one year.

2.1. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

2.2. These Terms may be updated from time to time. Any changes will take effect upon being posted on the Platform. It is your responsibility to review these Terms regularly.

3.1. Users under 13 years of age are not permitted to access the Platform.

3.2. If we discover that we have collected information from a user under 13 years of age, we will delete such information promptly.

4.1. To use certain features, you must create an account with accurate and up-to-date information.

4.2. Each account is personal to the user and must not be shared. Sharing accounts may result in suspension or permanent account termination.

4.3. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Any unauthorized access to your account must be reported immediately to CIE Buddy.

5.1. The Platform is intended solely for personal, non-commercial use to assist with educational purposes.

5.2. Prohibited Activities:

• Sharing, distributing, or reselling materials from CIE Buddy without authorization.
• Reverse-engineering, overloading, or exploiting the AI or Platform features.
• Using the Platform for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
• Distributing malicious code or engaging in activities that disrupt the Services.

5.3. Breaching these restrictions may result in account suspension or legal action.

6.1. Access to some Services requires a one-time payment valid for one year. No recurring payments will be charged unless explicitly stated.

6.2. Payments are eligible for a refund if requested within 7 days of the purchase date. To request a refund, please contact us at contact@studypal.co.in with proof of purchase. Refunds may take up to 14 business days to process.

6.3. After the 7-day refund period, all payments are non-refundable, except in cases where CIE Buddy determines that the Services were inaccessible due to issues attributable to us for an extended period.

6.4. CIE Buddy reserves the right to modify pricing or terms for future subscriptions. Such changes will not affect existing subscriptions.

7.1. CIE Buddy owns most of the content and tools provided on the Platform. However, some content (e.g., CAIE topic-wise questions) may belong to third parties.

7.2. By using CIE Buddy, you acknowledge that such content remains the property of the respective rights holders, and unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.

8.1. The content on CIE Buddy, including AI-generated responses and study materials, is provided "as is." While we aim to ensure accuracy, CIE Buddy makes no guarantees regarding the correctness, completeness, or reliability of the information provided.

8.2. CIE Buddy is not responsible for your educational outcomes, including exam performance or grades. Use of the Platform is entirely at your own risk.

8.3. CIE Buddy is not liable for interruptions, server outages, or technical issues that may affect access to the Platform.

9.1. CIE Buddy's AI-powered tools are designed for personal use only. Excessive or improper use of these features, including attempts to bypass limits, may result in account suspension.

9.2. CIE Buddy reserves the right to monitor and limit access to AI features to ensure fair use.

10.1. CIE Buddy reserves the right to modify, add, or remove features, content, or services at any time without prior notice.

10.2. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Services.

11.1. CIE Buddy handles your data as described in our Privacy Policy (ciebuddy.com/privacy), which forms part of these Terms.

11.2. We count how the Platform is used anonymously to find problems and improve it. Detailed usage analytics, including screen recordings with your typed text, questions and answers hidden, are used only if you allow them, and you can change that at any time in Profile → Account.

11.3. Questions and material you submit are processed by AI service providers to generate answers. We may review samples to check and improve the quality of answers.

11.4. If you are under 18, you should use the Platform with the knowledge of a parent or guardian, who can contact us about your data at any time.

11.5. By using CIE Buddy, you agree to comply with Google's Terms of Use, as our Platform may integrate Google services.

12.1. CIE Buddy reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms or misusing the Platform.

12.2. Termination may result in the loss of access to paid Services, and refunds will not be provided in such cases.

13.1. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

13.2. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, India.
